New Song/Music Video, handful of 7" still available

Hey Folks,

very eventuful last few months in the scream hello camp. James finished his masters and moved to new york city, and chris moved to delaware to work on an archaeological site for a few months, which means that the last members of scream hello have left our hometown of new brunswick, nj.

To commemorate our city and what it means to us, we whipped up a song and music video (with help from director and pal James S. and verizon fios)

Though we part ways with the hub city we retain fond memories of exploits and hijinks that went down over the course of our years there. As life spreads us each geographically further from one another, we daydream about riding our bikes to each others houses in new brunswick to drink beer, order chinese and play magic: the gathering. Those were the 'good ol days'. This song is a hat-tip to the good and bad of new brunswick.

Here's a "Making Of" for this video (sorry for the advertising shit in there, not our call):

Finally, we have a handful of 7" still available through our web store located here, and we have an upcoming release loosely scheduled for later this year for the 5 songs we recorded in January (which includes "Goodbye (New Brunswick)..."). Good Times!

Thanks for reading, more updates soon on the way!

New Year, New News, New Projects

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM SCREAM HELLO!!!

We hope your celebratory yule festivities were as safe and joyous as ours were, and that 2009 is looking as good for you all as it is looking for us so far.

To kick off the new year with a delightful review of our recent record Everything Is Always Still Happening, we'd like to share a clip from the December issue of Rock Sound Magazine

We generally are overjoyed when people pick up on what we try to do musically, so we'd like to thank Oli Robertson and Rock Sound for recognizing that we're better than Silverstein. That's the only point we're really trying to get across, ultimately.

Additionally, we've made great strides personally at the end of the year; James finished his Masters degree and is on the fast track to success, Chris will soon appear in a Levi's jeans advertisement as a rugged 501 brand model, Adam finally beat his girlfriend in Mario Kart, and Danny was promoted to head grocer and can take weekends off twice a month now. VERY exciting news all around.

But in band news, we've jumped into the studio once more with local master Joe Dell'Aquila at Exeter Recordings in Freehold, NJ to track some new and totally righteous material for near-future projects. So keep an eye out for news on that.

And finally we are seemingly mere moments from receiving the new 7" from Art Of The Underground records single series, which label master Alex was so kind to invite us to participate in. We are very excited to be doing a 7" with him and his worthy singles project. We will announce when the record is available.

Best in the new year, and remember 2009: No Permanent Damage!

"Everything is Always..." LP gets 4 STARS from AP magazine

AP magazine gave our new album 4 STARS out of 5, totally rad. Thanks AP. However, they don't sell PBR tallboys in New Brunswick... we drink G.A.B.... duh...

SCREAM HELLO
(Everything Is Always Still Happening)
WHO? New Brunswick, New Jersey, quartet who probably own their fair share of cowboy shirts, have likely drank a significant number of PBR tallboys and have Punknews. org as their homepage.
SOUNDS LIKE? Quirky, Midwestern-emo-influenced punk that almost sounds like the second coming of "If It Weren't For Venetian Blinds, It Would Be Curtains For Us All"-era Piebald.
HOW IS IT? It's smart, emotive and could be one of the sleeper hits of 2008 if enough people take notice. Please take notice.
ROCKS LIKE: Piebald, Polar Bear Club, The Gaslight Anthem.
4 STARS!

Megafauna, Chinese Democracy, and my pops.

Today I did something I thought I would never do.

I walked into a store and purchased a copy of Guns 'n Roses "Chinese Democracy"

Moreover, a few weeks ago while on a canoe trip, my friend and I found a Mastadon tusk buried in a pre-ice age clay layer in the river bank.

In a few weeks we're going to excavate it with some university folks. I will post pictures from the excavation when it happens.

And finally, today is my dad's birthday. He told me just now that today is also Hannah Montana's birthday. Happy Birthday Dad and Hannah!!!!
